Wayne R. Stewart, 65, Altoona, died Sunday at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born in Altoona, son of Grace (Hench) Stewart and the late Robert Wayne Stewart.
Surviving are his mother of Altoona; his wife, Beverly (Madara); two daughters: Lori of Altoona and Christine of Milton; a son, Michael of Altoona; six grandchildren: Derek, Courtney, Alyssa, Kamori, Ashley and Tyler; and a sister, Sharon Jubeck of Altoona.
Wayne was a graduate of Altoona High School and served in the Air National Guard for six years. He was employed with PPG for 17 years and retired in 1991, and he also worked at C-COR Electronics until 2004. He was a member of the former Fourth Lutheran Church, Altoona.
Wayne enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, baseball and NASCAR.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
