Judith A. Lamont, 51, Hollidaysburg, died Sunday at Altoona Regional, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of Donald and Janet (Eger) Daughenbaugh. She married Anthony D. Lamont on Feb. 3, 1984, in Hollidaysburg.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years; her mother; her step-father, Gary Gonder; three children: Leigha, Kathryn and husband, Lucas, and their expectant son, and Kathryn's twin, Dane; and two brothers: Gregory and Jeffrey.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Brian.
She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Altoona.
Judith was a 1979 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School and a 1996 graduate of Penn State University, with a bachelor's degree in secondary social studies education.
Mrs. Lamont worked as a substitute teacher at Altoona Area Senior High School from 2006 to present and formerly was a social studies teacher at Pyramid Healthcare, Greentreen Village, from 2006 to 2007.
She and her husband have owned and operated Texas Hot Dogs in Altoona for the last 20 plus years. Judith managed the evening shift, served as accountant and trained and supervised evening employees.
Judith was elected to the board at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, where she served as chairwoman for all fundraisers. She served as docent at the Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum, where she gave tours to school-children's field trips. She volunteered for local political candidates at voting polls, tutored students at Hollidaysburg Area Middle School and worked with faculty and staff at Penn State Altoona as the only student representative on two different committees.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 806 13th St., Altoona, by Fred Miller. Committal will be at Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg.
