COLUMBUS, Ohio - Tayler Hill scored 23 points and the No. 16 Ohio State women pulled away in the second half for a 70-54 victory over St. Francis on Tuesday night.
The Buckeyes (3-1) got double-figure scoring from four others. Amber Stokes had 12 points and Darryce Moore, Martina Ellerbe and Ameryst Alston added 10 apiece.
Despite that balance and Hill's sharpshooting, St. Francis (3-1) trailed just 32-29 at halftime. Then the Buckeyes began to wear down St. Francis.
Alli Williams led the Red Flash with 16 points before fouling out. Alexa Hayward chipped in 13 and Shene Fleming 11.

"I am very pleased with our effort, and I'm even more pleased that it is the fourth game in row I can say that," St. Francis coach Joe Haigh said. "We have played hard in all our games, and I was happy with the way we executed our defensive game play."
The Red Flash returns to action with a 7 p.m. tipoff Nov. 28 on the road against Mid-American Conference rival Kent State.
