Athlete of the week achievement: In helping his team beat Bishop Guilfoyle, 19-6, in the District 6 Class A semifinals, DeGennaro picked off a pass to stop one Marauder drive, and recovered a fumble on another drive to stop them. Both drives were deep in Bellwood territory, too.
Season update: He has four interceptions for the season. Offensively, he has rushed for 505 yards on 54 carries. He has seven receptions for 189 yards. He has totaled seven touchdowns.
