Joseph S. "Joe" Mielnik, 88, of Ebensburg died Saturday. He was born in Hollidaysburg, son of the late John and Anna (Dorochenko) Mielnik. Surviving are children: Theresa and David; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna; and siblings: Frank, Paul, Stan, Cletus, Richard and Helen; and two great-grandsons. Joe was a World War II Army veteran. At Joe's request, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg.
