Julie A. (Barr) McIntire, 82, of Medford, N.J., formerly of Altoona, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012.
She is survived by her sister, Jean McCloskey of Altoona; brothers: John Barr in western Pennsylvania and Harold Barr in Ohio; a daughter: Deborah K. (Robert) Harford and their children: Melanie (John) Bilbow and their children: Rachel, Michael, Connor and Aiden Bilbow of Medford, Lisa (Wilson) Genio of Las Vegas, Nev., Robert III of Wilmington, Del., and Rebekah Harford of Medford; a son, Frank (Denise) Schweser of Philadelphia and their children: Christine (Matt) Ryan, and their children: Ashley Nicole and Edward, Beth Schweser and her daughter, Haley, Melanie Schweser, and Frank and Denise's newly adopted sons, Elijah and Jaycob; a son, Bryan McCorriston of Altoona and Sheila, mother of her grandchildren, Maria, Brittany and Jerry of Philadelphia.
Julie grew up in Altoona. She was a 1948 graduate of Altoona High School and a 1951 graduate of the Altoona School of Nursing, where she obtained a RN degree.
In her later years, she enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing on her computer and iPad and sharing many meals with her family. Friends will be received from 6 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Lechner Funeral Home, 24 N. Main St., Medford, N.J.
