Francis Raymond "Pete" Shuss Sr., 82, Plum, died Tuesday.
He was born in Patton, son of the late Albert Hawe and Clair Frances (Airhart) Shuss.
Francis was the beloved husband of the late Leota (Winn) Shuss; father of Marilyn (Bill) Bowman, Francis (Linda), Daniel (Janet) and Larry (Julie); grandfather of Julie Bowman, Joshua Bowman, Zachery Bowman, Bridget Patrick, Chelsea Shuss, Fawn Bennion, Faith Sampson, Jacob Shuss and Alyssa Shuss; great-grandfather of Anya Bowman-Kramm, Cavan Patrick, Tatum Patrick, Laralei Bennion, Eden Sampson and one expected; and brother of Dorothy (late Steven) Duchai and the late Mary Katherine (Edward) Kuntz and Clarence (Birdetta).
Francis proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Maurice L. Knee Funeral Home, 7663 Saltsburg Road (across from S&T Bank), Plum, and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pittsburgh Third Ward Building, 710 New Texas Road, Plum. Interment will follow in Plum Creek Cemetery.
