Julia Rose "Julie" Bulsok, 87, Presbyterian Home of Hollidaysburg, died early Tuesday morning at Altoona Regional.
She was born in Portage, daughter of the late Francis and Catherine (Wojick) Shura. She married Steve Bulsok on Feb. 23, 1946, in Portage. He preceded her in death in 2001.

Surviving are four children: Steve Bolsak Jr. of Hollidaysburg, Bobbie McAleer (Danny) of Boonesboro, Md., Michael Bulsok of Duncansville and Catherine A. Hocherl (William) of Altoona; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Stella DeWitt of Detroit, Mich., and Violet Hunter of Beaverdale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra J. Bulsok; three brothers: Stanley Shura, Ted Shura and Walter Shura; and two sisters: Patricia Gouse and Angela Shura.
Julie was a homemaker. She graduated from Portage High School in 1943 and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and canning.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael Servinsky officiating.
Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
