John J. "Jack" Wharton, 89, Altoona, died Sunday morning, Nov. 11, 2012, in the company of his two daughters. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jones Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altoona. A full obituary will appear in Wednesday's Mirror.
