Kelly R. Steele, 50, of Santa Fe, N.M., formerly of Bellwood, passed away unexpectedly at his home.
He was born in Altoona, son of Mary (Benedetto) Steele and the late Ray E. Steele.

Surviving are his mother of Bellwood; a brother, Dr. Spencer J. in Nevada; long-time friend and companion, Gretchen Quirin, with whom he resided; numerous aunts and uncles; special friends: Ryan McFarland and Tim Wilkins; and close friend, Davina Sowers.
Kelly was the former owner and operator of Kohler's Appliances of Altoona.
He enjoyed playing his guitar and many other instruments, composing music, woodworking, hiking, biking and being outdoors.
Kelly loved spending time with his dogs: Darwin and Newton.
A day without Kelly will be a day without music.
There will be no public viewing or visitation. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
