Cletus Patrick Ott

Cletus Patrick Ott, 93, Mill Run, Altoona, died Saturday morning at Altoona Regional.

He was born in Duncansville, son of Peter Anthony and Nellie G. (Keith) Ott. He married Clyde L. McKendree on March 6, 1943. She died Aug. 31, 2002, having shared 59 years of marriage.

He is survived by five sons: Richard and wife, Sandra, Steven and wife, Annie, David, Daniel and wife, Leisha, and Stephen Black and companion, Karen, all of Altoona; eight grandchildren: Joe, Steve, Matthew, Ceana, Daniel, Dillon, Megan and Mirinda; five great-grandchildren: Krysti, Casey, Noah, Caylee and Makenna; and a great-great-grandson, Thomas.

He was proceeded in death by two sisters and five brothers and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Cletus retired from Mairhofer Bakery as a mechanic; prior to that, he worked at Brownie Potato Chip in Altoona.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, 2535th AAF, San Antonio, Texas.

Cletus was a member of Cornerstone Church, Mill Run.

He enjoyed his grandchildren, working in the yard and garden and Studebakers.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home by Pastor Steven Oliveri. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
