David L. Kenawell, 52, Altoona, passed away Friday at Altoona Regional.

He was born in Altoona, son of Patty (Kenawell) Meyer of Baltimore, Md.

He is survived by his mother; brothers: Jerry Kenawell (Doreen) of Altoona and Ernie Kenawell of Newport News, Va.; a sister-in-law, Judith Kenawell in Maryland; a special cousin, John C. Kenawell of Altoona; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Kenawell; and four brothers: Thomas, George, Peter and Robert.

David was last employed as a driver for Cove Forge Rehabilitation Center of Williamsport and was a former employee of Tri Tech, Blair Signs and Peter C's Bar. He also served in the past as a former Cub Scout leader and volunteer firefighter.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at The Good Funeral Home Inc., at Alto-Reste Park, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Pastor Mary Emery officiating. Committal will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in David's name to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
