Betty J. Shaffer, 93, Tyrone, died Wednesday at Epworth Manor, Tyrone. She was born in Tyrone, daughter of Herbert and Bessie (Shively) Shaffer. Surviving are nieces and nephews: John Ferner of Tyrone, Linda Lee DelBaggio of Delmont, Mary Ann Scordo of Tyrone and Suzanne Zeek of Birmingham. She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family by the Rev. Bernard Bookhammer, followed by burial at Eastlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are by Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone.
