Dorenda S. Kumpf, 53, Altoona, died Wednesday at her residence.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of A. JoAnn (Frye) Patterson and the late George Vaughn. She married Kenneth L. Kumpf on March 5, 1977, in Altoona.
Surviving are her mother; her husband; a son, Kenneth L. Jr. of Altoona; two grandchildren: Landon and Christian; three brothers: Robert Vaughn, Brian Vaughn (Penni) and Paul Patterson, all of Altoona; five sisters: Wanda Boyles (Brian) and Lea Johns (Don), both of Altoona, Patty Gale (Wynn) in Georgia, Alice Northrop in Ohio and Mary Crownover in Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Terry Vaughn; and her stepfather, Wayne Patterson.
Dorenda was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Juniata, and was employed as a telemarketer for Person to Person Marketing. She enjoyed painting, family and her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church by Pastor John Klingeman.
