Kenneth L. "Red" Davis, 80, Roaring Spring, formerly of Duncansville and Everett, died Wednesday at home after a brief illness.
He was born in Brookes Mills, son of the late Harry and Alverta (Oaks) Davis. He married Patricia Leberfinger on March 19, 1954, in Winchester, Va.
Surviving are his wife; three children: Kenneth L. II (Charlene) of Duncansville, Kim Mowery of York and Kirk (Barbara) of Fairfield; six grandchildren: John and Kris Mowery and April, Ryan, Sara and Tressa Davis; two great-grandchildren: Nittany Jo Davis and Abigail Mowery; and five sisters: Ruth Turner, Cleora Winegardner, Peggy Trexler and Esther Potter, all of Duncansville, and Janet Holmes of Naples, Fla.

He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Mowery; and six siblings: Jack, Robert, Curt and Vernon Davis, Almeda Diehl and Evelyn Treese.
Ken retired from Lafferty Trucking and Hoss's Steak and Seahouse. He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Central Pennsylvania National Guard Veterans Association, where he was a master sergeant.
He was a member of Juniata Lodge 282, F&AM; Jaffa Shrine; Calliope Clowns; Mid-Atlantic Shrine Clown Association; Chief Logan Forest 131, Tall Cedars of Lebanon; Hillbillies; Altoona Consistory; Wambic Tribe 507, Improved Order of Red Men; American Legion Post 8; and Loop Sportsmen's Association.
Ken was an associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 57, International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 110, Cove Area Shrine Club and Bavarian Aid Society and a lifetime member of the Mill Run Volunteer Fire Company and Duncansville Volunteer Fire Company, where he was a former chief. He was also a past member of the Duncansville Borough Council.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, making barbecued chicken for different organizations and clowning.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing or service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
