John W. Hamer, 74, of 5293 Sunny Glen Lane, Spruce Creek, died Tuesday at the Olivia Village, Tyrone.
He was the son of Earl John and Edna Catherine (Naylor) Hamer, and he never married.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews, and he was the last of seven brothers.
John had worked in the lumber yard at O.W. Houtz in State College and previously as a custodian at Juniata Valley Elementary School.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Eastlawn Cemetery, Pastor Bernard Bookhammer officiating. Interment will be at Eastlawn Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone.
