Eugene A. "Buzz" Waite, 77, Tyrone, died Monday at Epworth Manor, Tyrone.
He was born in Arch Springs, son of Ernest Eugene and Roberta Marie (Treharne) Waite. He married Donna M. Duff on Aug. 6, 1977, in Tyrone.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters: Melissa Dick and husband, Robert "Bubb," of Tyrone and Rose Marie Gardner and husband, John, of Pinecroft; two sons: David B. of Tyrone and Jeff and wife, Sherry, of Warriors Mark; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon T.; and a sister, Rose Marie Anders.
Eugene retired in 1996 from Penn State University as a landscaper after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Tyrone, and the Cartwright Hunting Camp, Warriors Mark. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, the Rev. Aden Wertz officiating. Interment will follow at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
