Loved ones and family said goodbye to Janice L. Cook, 68, of Severna Park, Md., on Saturday. She passed away peacefully with a smile on her face knowing that she was loved by many and was going to a better place.
She was born in Altoona.
She leaves behind her husband and best friend of 48 years, Clarence A. Cook. She will be remembered and missed by her mother, Iva M. Lingenfelter; a daughter, Charee Van Tol and her family; a son, Curtis and his family; and a brother, Richard Lingenfelter.

Jan was "Mom," "Momma," and a friend that everyone would love to have, in addition to being the best mom and the most devoted wife, spouse and partner. For all of us who knew and loved Jan, we know that "she knows" that our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family and that she can rest in peace.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, 611 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., Severna Park, Md.
