Betty J. McClellan, 68, Bellwood, died Sunday at Altoona Regional after a brief illness.
She was born in Bellwood, daughter of the late Charles E. and Bertha A. (Douglass) McFalls. She married Ellis R. McClellan Sr. on March 18, 1961, in Bellwood, and he preceded her in death on July 13, 1999.
Surviving are a son, Ellis R. Jr. of Aiken, S.C.; three daughters: Susan L. Smego of Tyrone, Kim M. Dixon of Altoona and Becky A. McClellan of Bellwood; four grandchildren: Joshua Allen McClellan, Jessica Lynn Burchner, Jennifer Ashley McClellan and Tyler Andrew Wilson; two brothers: Harold E. McFalls of Rockledge, Fla., and Robert F. McFalls of Gardner, Mass.; and two sisters: Doris A. Clouser of Reightown and Carol L. Ruggiere of Bellwood.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles L. and Richard L. McFalls; and a sister, Helen M. Oswald.
Betty retired as a candy maker for Gardners Candy Factory, Tyrone. She enjoyed fishing, swimming, camping and having family cookouts.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. at the funeral home, the Rev. Norman Huff officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the Bellwood-Antis Public Library.
