Catherine Clair Ringler, 80, of Altoona died Saturday at Altoona Regional after an extended illness.
She was born to the late Michael and Thelma (Rothrauff) Cole.
Surviving are two daughters: Catherine Louise Sampson in Tennessee and Beth Ann Ewing of Cumberland, Md.; a son, Thomas Ewig II of Altoona; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was a graduate of Altoona High School. Catherine was retired as a registered nurse from the state of Pennsylvania.
She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, Altoona.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Stevens Memorial Chapel. Committal will at follow at Calvary Cemetery.
