Pastor Richard F. Huber, 71, of Altoona went home to be with Jesus early Sunday morning at Altoona Regional.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Archie R. and Clara M. (Espenlaub) Huber. He married Donna J. Kephart on Sept. 18, 1964, in Altoona.
Surviving are his wife, Donna; three sons: Richard F. Huber Jr., Chris P. Huber and his wife, Yvonne, all of Altoona and Shawn A. Huber and his wife, Kristen, of Burnham; and seven grandchildren, Rebecca, Samantha, Zachary, Kayla, Gage, McKenzie and Andrew.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Charles Huber on Dec, 4, 1991.
Richard was currently serving as pastor of Bell Avenue New Life Church and had been in the pastorate for more than 25 years.
He was a 1959 graduate of Altoona High School and also earned a master's degree from International Seminary in Florida. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, having served during the Vietnam era.
Pastor Huber was actively involved with the Haiti Mission and also the Cree Indian Mission in Canada. He served as chaplain at the State Correctional Institution at Cresson for many years.
Friends will be received from 2 to4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, and 10 to the 11 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, Nov 7, 2012, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., with Victor Charles Huber officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
