Mary Katherine Kowalczyk, 86, Portage, died Saturday. She was born in Lilly, daughter of the late Joseph J. Sr. and Michalina (Kurek) Kolbrecki. She is survived by children: Regina, Raymond, Ruth, Robert and Richard; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild and two sisters: Anna and Frances. She was preceded in death by husband, Walter; and a brother, Joseph Jr. Friends will be received 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Serenko-Claar Funeral Home PC, Portage. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church, Portage.
