John P. Westrick, 78, Hastings, died Wednesday at his residence. He was born in Hastings, son of Wilfred F. and Lucy M. (Strossler) Westrick. Surviving are his wife, Dolores C. (Strittmatter); three children: Mary Shingle of Chest Springs and Joe and Ken, both of Ellicott City, Md.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers: William, Thomas and James. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 pm. Friday at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hastings. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
