Margaret A. "Peg" White, 66, Altoona, died Monday at Altoona Regional after a brief illness.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Albert Paul Sr. and Margaret M. (Riggleman) Fleck. She married William S. White, who preceded her in death on May 24, 1997.
Surviving are two daughters: Peggy Sue Auman and Billi Jo Burnell and partner, Mandie Epps, all of Altoona; four grandchildren: David, Gabriel and Samuel Auman and Billy Paul Burnell; numerous adopted grandchildren; a brother, Albert Paul Fleck Jr. of Tyrone; two sisters: Julie I. Petitt of Altoona and Paulette Updyke of Mount Union; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Supina; and two nephews: Albert Paul Fleck III and Paul E. Grassmyer.
Peg was a 1964 graduate of Tyrone High School. She retired as an assembler from Murata Electronics after 25 years of service and had later worked as a paid volunteer at Valley View Home. She loved her family, gardening, sewing and reading.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Broad Avenue United Methodist Church by Pastor Elizabeth Taylor. Interment will be at Centre County Memorial Park, State College.
