Mardell A. Venesky, 80, Carrolltown, died Tuesday. She was born in Spangler, daughter of Richard and Cecelia Lawrence. Surviving are three children: Linda Zimmerman, Tim and Chris; seven grandchildren; and eight siblings: Jack, Robert and Wayne Lawrence, Sarah Jane Strong, Dee Luther, Dorothy Bassaro, Betty Weber and Lillian Weakland. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Thomas R.; and two siblings: June Monaco and infant Richard Norman. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Friday at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., Carrolltown, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012.
