Mary M. Tremmel, 100, Valley View Home, died Monday evening at the home.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Michael and Mary M. (Kammermeier) Leidel. She married Paul D. Tremmel on June 15, 1939. He preceded her in death on July 22, 1974.
Surviving are a brother, Earl W. (Margaret) Leidel of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; a sister, Marjorie M. Beigle of Altoona; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Mary was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and Kittanning Trail Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening and needlework.
Friends will be received from 1:30 until the 3:30 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home Inc., 2309 Broad Ave., Altoona, by Pastor Richard Harter. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
