Eugene V. Moser, 81, formerly of Green Avenue Tower, Altoona, died Tuesday at Valley View Home, where he had been a resident for the past year, after an extended illness.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Frank N. and Mary Catherine (Leidy) Moser.
Surviving are his former wife, Mary (Wolf) Moser Bajer; four children: Loretta A. (Ahmad) Zaza, Leonard E. (Catherine), Lawrence C. (Marlene) and Timothy M. (Tara), all of the Chicago, Ill., area; two grandchildren: Kylie M. and Jenna I. Moser; and a sister, Anna C. Nelson of Hollidaysburg. He is also survived by his nephew, Stephen F. Moser and wife, Karen, of Altoona, who had been overseeing his health and welfare for the past three years.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Francis J.; and a sister, Mary Catherine Partner.
Eugene was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altoona, where he was a former custodian. He was also a volunteer for Blair Senior Services and a life member of the Bavarian Aid Society. He enjoyed bowling.
There will be no public visitation, and services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona.
