The Blair County Emergency Operations Center has opened two warming centers in the county -- Salvation Army, 1813 Sixth Ave., Altoona, and the Tyrone Senior Center, 505 Third St.
Blair County Emergency Management Director Dan Boyles said in addition to the warming centers, a shelter for those affected by the storm will open at 6 p.m. today at the Greenwood Fire Hall, 1500 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd.
