Bertha M. George, 95, Mount Joy, passed away Saturday at the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Robert and Ruth (Diebert) Harten.
Bertha will be missed by her three children: Clifford and wife, Kathy, of Hollidaysburg, Marcia Rehrer and husband, Douglas, of Mount Joy and Steven and wife, Cheryl, of Lebanon; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, James Harten and wife, Marilyn, of Hollidaysburg; and a sister, Mary Jane Miller of McKeesport.

Formerly of Altoona, Bertha worked for Warnaco, retiring in 1979. She enjoyed gardening, working crossword puzzles, playing canasta and watching TV game shows.
Friends will be received from 1 until the 2 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Sheetz Funeral Home, 16 E. Main St., Mount Joy. Interment will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, in Blair Memorial Park, 3234 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona.
