Luella M. Hoenstine, 85, Bellwood, died unexpectedly Saturday at her home.
She was born in Bellwood, daughter of William and Elizabeth (Schaeffer) McClellan. She married Donald R. Hoenstine, and he preceded her in death March 9, 1989.
Surviving are two daughters: Sandy L. Morgan of Covington, Ga., and Carol A. Rhodes of Bellwood; two grandchildren: Zacchary Pelter of Conyers, Ga., and Aimee L. Geesaman of Pinecroft; and two great-grandchildren: Jacob and Shannon.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven L. Rhodes, in 1991.
Luella retired as a self-employed transportation escort driver for wide-load transportation. She enjoyed her cats, reading and watching television.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at the funeral home, Pastor Kenneth Beichler officiating. Interment will be at Antis Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to Hillside Community Church or the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society.
