Heidi J. Allison, 26, Altoona, died Saturday morning at home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of Timothy C. and Marsha K. (Butterbaugh) Allison. Surviving are her parents; three brothers: Matthew and Justin Allison, both of Altoona, and Travis Allison, serving with the U.S. Marine Corps in Twentynine Palms, Calif.; her grandmother, Marjorie Butterbaugh of Altoona; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
Heidi was a 2004 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a 2006 graduate of the LPN program at the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center. She was employed as an LPN at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, and at Interim HealthCare, where she enjoyed working with special needs children. She was a member of First Church of Christ.
Heidi loved her animals, especially her Labrador, Layla, and she loved music. She will be remembered as a hardworking and compassionate woman who had a smile for everyone.
Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, Pastor John Collins officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society or to The Gideons International.
