Athlete of the week achievement: Brandis won the District 6 Class A championship by more than a minute, finishing in 18:57. The Lady Devils also won the team title.

Season update: Brandis was undefeated in dual meets this season, won two out of the four invitationals the Red Devils entered - finished second in the other two - and won the Laurel Highlands meet.

Coach Randy Wilson's quote: "From gun to finish line, she just ran with all heart [this weekend]. She didn't look back and ran a great race. She just hammered the whole way."
