Commissioners in Bedford, Blair, Centre and Huntingdon counties have declared disaster emergencies in their respective counties.
The Blair County commissioners' meeting for Tuesday has been moved to Thursday, the commissioners said. The courthouse is closed Tuesday.
Huntingdon County Courthouse is closed Tuesday and Wednesday, officials said.
The decisions allow emergency management officials to move quicker to allocate resources as a result of the impact of Hurricane Sandy.
