Retired Army Col. Carl R. Rotz, Washington, Pa., formerly of Altoona, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012. Surviving are his wife, Martha (McClain) Rotz; children: Douglas M. Rotz, Karen Bullock and Deborah L. Rotz; and three grandchildren. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Hummell & Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Ave., Washington, Pa., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012.
