SAXTON - Tussey Mountain used two first-half touchdown passes from Eric Husick to defeat Mount Union.

Husick connected with Lance Barnett on a 30-yard touchdown in the first quarter, and found Mitchell Corbin from 38 yards out in the second. Corbin later ran for a 29-yard touchdown, finishing with 76 yards on the ground.

Daniel Taylor added two touchdowns for Tussey, scoring on a 55-yard punt return to open the scoring and adding a touchdown run of 7 yards in the third quarter. Mount Union added its only score in the fourth quarter when Kahlil Fortson hit Jamal Smith for a 64-yard touchdown pass to close the scoring.

NEW PARIS - Christian Thomas ran for 192 yards on 11 carries, leading Allegany past Chestnut Ridge. Thomas also ran for three touchdowns (77, 3, 45), while teammate Dylan Shockey added 93 yards on the ground and added touchdown runs of 4 and 7 yards.

Chestnut Ridge showed resistance when Jacob Mock ran for a 23-yard touchdown in the second quarter to take the lead at 8-6, but Allegany answered by scoring 36 unanswered points to finish the game.

Lions' quarterback Beau Bosch led the team, rushing for 126 yards. Trenton Eirich capped off the scoring for Allegany late in the fourth quarter with touchdown run from a yard out.

Pat Irwin scored on a 13-yard run for the winners, and also threw 22-yard touchdown pass in the first half to Jake Knouse to spearhead the victory. Darian Herncane returned an interception - one of four on the day - for 93 yards for a score.
