Charles Edward Richards Sr., 81, Hawthorne, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012. He was born in Altoona.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Joan E.; two children: Catherine D. Hubler and Charles E. Jr.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gerald.
Charles was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Conrail after 45 years of service. He loved football and enjoyed watching the Florida Gators and Denver Broncos.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, in the chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home, Hawthorne, Fla.
