Florence L. Glass, 74, Queen, passed away Wednesday at home.
She was born in Queen, daughter of the late Harry and Lydia (Walter) Knisely. She married Ben Glass on March 3, 1958, in Winchester, Va.
Surviving are her husband; three daughters: Ann Marie Kerlin of Newnan, Ga., Lisa Ruetschle of Lusby, Md., and Chris Marrow of Chambersburg; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters: Annabelle Weyant of Bedford and Barbara Miller of Woodbury; and two brothers: Ben Knisely of King and Oliver Knisely of Queen.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Clarence and Robert Knisely; and two sisters: Dorothy Crosby and Jane Black.
Florence was a 1956 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School and attended Catonsville Community College. She retired in 1993 as jury commissioner in Montgomery County, Md. She was a member of the Queen Gospel Hall and Kimmel Township Community Association, and she enjoyed golfing, oil painting and traveling.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Claysburg Bible Church, 11751 William Penn Road, Imler, Pastor Keith Showalter officiating. Interment will be at Greenfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or Claysburg Area Public Library.
