I am voting for Richard Flarend because John McGinnis has stated that he does not support state grants for firefighters and police and will not bring this money back to Altoona.
If elected, McGinnis will hurt Altoona.
The money for grants for firefighters and police is part of our state budget, and if our representative for the 79th District doesn't bring it back home, it will simply go somewhere else, like Pittsburgh or Philadelphia.
Our local fire stations and police count on grants from the state as part of their budgets. We need to elect someone who will support our community and bring home from Harrisburg all of the tax dollars we have paid.
I'm not willing to give up protection because McGinnis wants to make a point. Elect Richard Flarend, the common sense candidate who will really look out for our interest.
