Carl William Hardy, 80, Tyrone, died Monday at his residence. He was born in Tyrone, son of Walter Calvin and Goldie L. (Moore) Hardy. Surviving are his wife, Sandra (Wertz); four children: Tammy, Tonya, Carl and Dalton, all of Tyrone; and nine grandchildren. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bald Eagle United Methodist Church, Tyrone, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, Pastor Jenny Kauffman officiating. Graveside service will be at Baughman Cemetery, Bald Eagle, Tyrone. Arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home, Altoona.
