I am writing in response to a recent Altoona Mirror article regarding the decline in the sending of greeting cards. I am happy to inform that I received 72 greeting cards for my recent 80th birthday.
I am a resident of the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home and enjoyed every single one of them and have them all hung in my room.
I sincerely hope people will continue to send cards as they do mean a lot to many of us.
