HOLLIDAYSBURG - Hollidaysburg's Emily Ansley set a course record with a time of 21:11 as the Lady Tigers narrowly edged DuBois, 27-28, in high school cross country Thursday.
Ansley, who is running on a new course, broke her own old course record of 21:32.
Also finishing in the top five for Hollidaysburg was second-place finisher Lauren Pheasant.
On the boys side, Hollidaysburg topped DuBois, 21-35, behind top five finishes from David Snyder, Eric Jennings, Brad Baronner and Marcus Pierce.

Lions finish ninth
SLIPPERY ROCK - The Altoona boys and girls varsity cross country team competed in the Tri-State Invitational at Cooper's lake. There were 67 boys teams and 62 girls teams competing in the meet.
The Altoona boys team finished ninth overall with 393 points, with sophomore Dominic Stroh coming in 54th place at 17:13.
The Altoona girls team finished 25th overall with 752 points. Junior Morgan Pensyl was the top Altoona runner, coming in 48th place at 20:31.
In junior varsity action, Joe Uliano was awarded a fourth place medal for his 17:48. Schelyn Imler was the top runner for the Altoona JV girls team, coming in 33rd place in 24:06.
