Alma E. Stephens, 98, Altoona, died Tuesday evening at Valley View Home.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Wilford A. and Eleanor E. (Templeton) Stephens.
Surviving are a brother, Wilford C. Stephens and wife, Ethel, of Altoona; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Hazel Stephens, Evelyn Stephens Crawford and Isabelle Stephens Waite.
Alma was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Altoona. She retired from S.H. Kress and Co. on Feb. 28, 1974.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., the Rev. Paula Schmitt officiating. Interment will be made in Greenwood Cemetery.
