I am urging everyone I know to vote for Democrat Richard Flarend for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives because John McGinnis supports taking money from our public schools to give to our private schools.
I am not against private schools. I like private schools, and I am glad that we have a choice in Altoona of a variety of good quality private schools to choose from.
However, if you or I want to send our children to private school, we should be willing to pay for it, just like our parents and grandparents did.
We should not gut our public schools to give the private schools more money. We need good public schools. Besides, maintaining public schools is in the state Constitution. Private schools are a choice, not a right.
Vote for Flarend and save our schools.
