Mounties earn shutout of Scarlet Dragons

ROARING SPRING - Nick Boumerhi scored two first-half goals to lead Philipsburg-Osceola to a 3-0 win over Central in high school boys soccer Monday.

P-O's Caleb Henry scored in the second half, and goalkeeper Mitchell Winters earned the shutout.

Michele Muir and Mikayla Dongell each scored a goal for Hollidaysburg, which got a shutout in goal from Peyton Civills. Emily Brown and Abby Nebelski registered assists on the goals.

The Lady Tigers (11-7) will find out this weekend who they will play next week in the first round of the District 6 Class AAA playoffs.

LOCK HAVEN - The Altoona junior high boys soccer team lost 2-0 to Central Mountain to fall to 10-4-1 on the season.

Lady Lion juniors win

MILL HALL - The Altoona junior high girls soccer team defeated Central Mountain, 1-0, behind a goal from Paris Haug with 40 seconds left to play in the game. Amber Knott had the assist.

Alicia Carper was the goalkeeper for the Lady Lions, who improved to 11-3-1.
