Helen Novak, 90, Carrolltown, died Thursday. She was born in Allport, daughter of John Sr. and Mary (Patrick) Hanyok. Surviving are three children: Patricia Cence of Johnstown, Gloria Boland of Patton and Joe of Ashville; 12 grandchildren; and three sisters: Marge Kostick, Frances Young and Betty Karanik. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Novak; and three siblings: Mary Baranik and Robert J. and John Hanyok. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., Carrolltown, and noon until the 1 p.m. funeral Mass Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown.
