Therese M. McClain, 82, Altoona, died Wednesday at Altoona Regional after a brief illness.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of Sigmund and Rose (Pokorny) Jorkasky. She married Charles McClain on April 15, 1950, and he died Nov. 23, 2006.
Surviving are a daughter, Colleen (Kenn) Marshall of Etters; a son, Michael (Amanda) of Altoona; two grandchildren: Matt (Krissy) Marshall of Mechanicsburg and Megan Marshall of Etters; and three sisters: Helen Benton and Dorothy Sagaities, both of Hollidaysburg, and Phyllis Maniglia of Carneys Point, N.J.

She was preceded in death by two sisters: Patricia Wertner and Marie O'Leary.
Therese was a 1947 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired from the Hollidaysburg Area School District as a secretary. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Altoona, and she enjoyed aqua aerobics at The Summit, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church by the Rev. Carl A. Spishak. Entombment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
