David J. "Davey" Holliday Jr., 53, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., formerly of Gallitzin, died Wednesday at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Springs.
He was born in Altoona, son of David J. Sr. and Nancy (Kunsman) Holliday.
Surviving are three children: Andrew Cruse of Pensacola, Fla., and Ashley and Joshua Holliday, both of Patton; a grandson, Cody Despoy; his parents of Gallitzin; two sisters: Becky Lego of Portage and Adrienne Ford of Gallitzin; a brother, David Collins of Cresson; two nephews: Thomas Lego of Altoona and Brad Lego of Gallitzin; and his former wife, Barbara of Patton.
Davey was a 1977 graduate of Penn Cambria High School, Cresson, and served in the National Guard. He worked for Sheetz as an HVAC technician. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, the Rev. Albert Ledoux officiating. Committal will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
