Frank J. Imbrenda, 60, Altoona, passed away Monday at Altoona Regional after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born in Altoona, son of Theresa R. (DeLeo) Imbrenda and the late Gerard "Jerry" Imbrenda.
Surviving are his mother; a daughter, Lisa (Nelson) Radel of Altoona; a granddaughter, Paige; a sister, Maria "Retta" (Doug) Hewitt of Altoona; a brother, Dave (Renee) in South Carolina; four nieces: Amanda Boland, Casey Frederick, Brittni Imbrenda and Marissa Hewitt; and a nephew, Doug Hewitt.

Frank was a 1970 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He retired from Cookson Electronics as a master operator, and he was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. He was an officer at the Buccinese Society and a member of the Cesare Battisti Club.
Frank enjoyed gardening, playing his keyboard, singing, bocce and riding his scooter. He loved spending time with his golden retriever, Buddy, and his granddaughter and family.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
