Edith Marie (Hamilton) Miller, 95, State College, died Saturday at The Fairways at Brookline, State College.
She was born in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Charles N. and Marie (Philage) Hamilton of Altoona. She married John E. Miller Jr., who preceded her in death. Mr. Miller had been employed in the College of Education, Summer Sessions Office, until he retired.
Surviving are a sister, Helen E. Wible and husband, Blaine, of Allentown; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Louise Metzler; and a brother, William C. Hamilton.
Edith was a 1935 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a member of the State College Presbyterian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, State College Chapter 388, and a past matron of that organization. She was also a charter member of Cyrene Shrine 46 of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, the Past Matrons Association, the Faculty Women's Club, the Penn State Alumni Association and the Centre Community Hospital Auxiliary.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral service Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, the Rev. Joel Blunk officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
