William S. "Bill" Moyer, 71, of 2058 Adams Ave., Tyrone, died Saturday at Tyrone Hospital.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late James and Betty (James) Moyer. He married Janet Narehood on July 27, 1992, in Winchester, Va.
Surviving are his wife; four children: William S. Moyer Jr., Penny Cowher and James Moyer, all of Tyrone, and Brian (Chris) of Williamsburg; a stepdaughter, Lisa Gardner of Bellwood; a stepson, William Fink II of Imperial; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; one great-grandson; and a sister, Barbara (Charles) Potts of Bellwood.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Johnson.
Bill was a graduate of Bellwood High School. He retired as a machinist from Conrail in 1995 after 29 years of service. He was member of the Hookies Fire Co. and was an avid Tyrone football fan.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, with Pastor Ardene Latchford officiating.
Interment will be in Blair Memorial Park.
